Yesterday I spoke in church about the measure of our faith from 1 John 5:1. I suggested that our love for one another is to be visible enough to be an indicator of authentic faith. Take for example Jesus words as recorded by John:
What would our love for one another have to look like for "all people" to know that we are his disciples? That sounds like a crazy kind of love. It sounds risky and uncomfortable and invasive and sold out and free.
I don't know if we're ready for that. I think it might be more comfortable to just play church.
"By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." - John 13:35
